13 Tons of Meatballs, Chicken Fried Steak Recalled After Metal Bits Found

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), this recall affects the following products:

All of the 26,138 pounds of recalled ground beef products have the establishment number “EST. M1515A” inside the USDA mark of inspection on their labels. The products were produced on Oct. 13 and 24, 2016.

In addition to having been shipped to retailers across the U.S., some of the recalled products were distributed to U.S. Department of Defense facilities and institutions.

Consumers who have purchased any of the above products should discard them immediately or return them to the place of purchased for a full refund.

To date, no injuries or adverse reactions have been associated with the recalled products.
