Alabama Firm Recalls 430,000 Pounds of Chicken Over Foreign Matter Contamination

The recalled chicken was produced from July 4 through July 17, 2018. A customer complaint on July 27 kicked off the investigation which led to the recall, FSIS said.

This is a Class I recall, which FSIS considers “a health hazard situation where there is a reasonable probability that the use of the product will cause serious, adverse health consequences or death.”

If you purchased any of the recalled chicken, you should either discard it immediately or return it to the point of purchase for a refund.

To date, there have been no illnesses, injuries or adverse events associated with the recall, FSIS said.
