Products affected by the recall include “Single Dozen and 2.5 Dozen Flats” size of Gravel Ridge “Cage Free Large Eggs” with use-by dates of July 25, 2018, through Oct. 3, 2018, FDA said. The UPC on the recalled eggs is 7-06970-38444-6.
The recalled eggs were sold “primarily in restaurants and retail stores” in Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee, and were distributed from June 25 thru September 6, 2018, to the following locations (incomplete list) :

Salmonella infections can be accompanied by a broad range of illness. The most common clinical presentation is acute gastroenteritis. Symptoms typically include varying degrees of:
- Diarrhea
- Abdominal cramps
- Fever of 100°F to 102°F
- Bloody diarrhea
- Vomiting
- Headache
- Body aches
Customers who purchased the recalled eggs should discard them immediately or return them to the point of purchase, FDA said. If you ate any of the eggs and did not get sick, you should still either throw them away or return them. Call a doctor immediately if you have any of the symptoms listed above.
