The ground beef was sold at Meijer, Safeway, and Sam’s Club stores nationwide, as well as Target stores in California, Florida, and Iowa, and one Target store located at 5452 Corbin Way in Denton, Texas.
The ground beef was also sold at Central Meat & Provision Co. in San Diego, California, and Save Mart in Roseville, California.
Because this may not be a complete list of stores that sold the recalled ground beef, the USDA suggests that customers not eat any 3-pound, 10-pound and 20-pound packages of ground beef with a July 11 “use or freeze-by” date and branded under the following names:
- Our Certified
- Excel
- Sterling Silver
- Certified
- Fire River Farms

The recall is an extension of a previous recall on August 30 for raw ground chuck products sold at Public Super Market locations in Florida. At least 18 illnesses were reported between July 5 and July 25, 2018, with most of the patients located in Florida.
