The “Well at Walgreens” pain and itch relief cream contains lidocaine, a local anesthetic that could potentially poison young children, according to a CPSC recall notice issued Tuesday.
Recalled products are packaged in orange with a purple stripe, and the words “Maximum Strength,” “Pain and Itch Relief Cream 4% Lidocaine” and “NET WT 2 OZ (56.7 grams)” printed in white on the front.
The “Well at Walgreens” logo is located on the front upper right corner. Affected products feature the UPC bar code 3 11917 18962 8 on the back.
Walgreens sold the cream in stores across the U.S. and on its website from March to November 2017.
Anyone who purchased Walgreens Pain and itch Cream affected by the recall should keep it out of the reach of children, and return it to the point of purchase for a full refund.
