Aunt Jemima Pancakes, Waffles, French Toast Recalled for Listeria Contamination

The recall affects frozen products distributed in the U.S. and Mexico, but does not include dry mixes and syrups. Pinnacle ordered the recall after routine testing identified the presence of listeria at a production plant.

The recall includes all ‘Best By’ dates of the following products:
17 Retail Products PKG UPC

No other Aunt Jemima or Hungry Man products produced by Pinnacle Foods are affected by the recall.

Listeria infection, or listeriosis, mainly affects pregnant women, newborns, the elderly, and adults with compromised immune systems. However, in some cases patients without these risk factors may develop the infection. Signs and symptoms of listeriosis include:

Consumers in possession of any recalled products should discard them immediately or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.

To date, no illnesses have been reported in connection with the recall.
