CC Kitchens and Kroger Recall Snack & Salad Kits for Listeria Risk

Kroger grocery stores and CC Kitchens have recalled a number of fresh salad kits, slaws, snack packs, fruit trays, and veggie trays due to possible risk of food poisoning with <i>Listeria</i>.CC Kitchens, LLC of Cincinnati, Ohio recalled 2,415 pounds of ready-to-eat salad kits that were sold from May 31 to June 5 due to possible Listeria contamination:

No illnesses have been reported. The problem was discovered when one of the company’s suppliers of fresh-cut lettuce reported a positive test for Listeria monocytogenes in the production environment.

The recall follows another Listeria-related recall from CC Kitchens’ parent company Club Chef for snack kits, veggie trays, and fruit trays on June 8, 2017.

The recalled snacks were sold at Kroger grocery stores in South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas, Virginia, North Carolina and Michigan.

On June 8, CC Kitchens recalled the following salad kits from Kroger stores in Ohio, Michigan, and West Virginia due to a risk of Listeria:
