Academy, Ltd., doing business as Academy Sports + Outdoors, of Katy, Texas, announced a recall for about 3000 Outdoor Gourmet Turkey Keg turkey fryers because they pose a fire hazard.
The problem is that the turkey fryer spout can leak oil, which could potentially catch on fire if it drips onto an open flame.
Academy Sports + Outdoors has received 2 reports of a Turkey Keg leaking. No injuries or property damage were reported.
This recalled turkey fryer made of stainless steel and powered by propane. The fryer, including the legs, measures 34″ high by 17″ wide.
The item number 157826 is located on a label on one of the 4 legs.
They were sold at Academy Sports + Outdoors stores and online at www.academy.com from October 2018 through December 2018 for about $150.
