The recalled Wegmans Hummus was sold in 98 stores across a half dozen states: New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, Maryland and Massachusetts.

Affected products include 8- and 32-ounce containers of “Wegmans Food You Feel Good About Original Hummus” with “best before” dates of Nov. 14, 2018 and a lot code of 8118262.

The 8-ounce containers are labeled with UPC number 77890-26213. The 32-ounce containers are labeled with UPC number 77890-2622.

The problem was brought to the attention of Wegmans officials via a customer complaint.

If you purchased any of the above products, you should not eat them, and either throw them away or return them to the nearest Wegmans Foods Market.

To date, no illnesses, injuries, or other adverse events have been associated with the recalled Wegmans Hummus, the company said.
