Perrigo Company recalled 23,388 containers of baby formula sold exclusively at Walmart and labeled as “Parent’s Choice Advantage Infant Formula Milk-Based Powder with Iron.”

Consumers can identify the recalled baby formula by looking on the bottom of the package for Lot Code C26EVFV and a “Use By” date of February 26, 2021. The formula was sold in 35-ounce, 992-gram containers.

No injuries or other adverse events have been reported as of June 21, 2019. The recall was issued out of “an abundance of caution” after a consumer reported finding metal pieces in the formula.

Any consumers who bought the product should stop using it and visit any Walmart store for a refund.

Consumers with any health-related questions should contact their healthcare provider.
