The lawsuit was filed by Crystal Nicole L., a woman from Ohio who was injured by the G2® Vena Cava Filter (“IVC Filter”) manufactured by C.R. Bard and Bard Peripheral Vascular, Inc.
The IVC Filter was implanted on March 4, 2008 at a hospital in Ohio. Her injuries occurred while she was a resident of Ohio.
C.R. Bard is accused of negligence for selling a defective medical device and failing to warn about safety risks.
The lawsuit was filed on May 23, 2019 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona — Case No. 2:19-cv-03419-DGC.
It will be centralized with over 8,400 other IVC filter lawsuits now pending against C.R. Bard in a federal Multi-District Litigation in Arizona (MDL No. 2641) — In Re: Bard IVC Filters Products Liability Litigation.
