Kia said it was aware of at least 21 reports of Sedona sliding doors not reversing, 14 of which were linked to an injury.

Owners will be notified by mail and can take affected vehicles to a Kia dealership, where the potentially defective computer software can be reprogrammed free of charge.

In another recent automotive development, General Motors announced a recall for nearly 90,000 GMC Terrain sport-utility vehicles from model year 2018 because their airbags may not deploy in a crash, according to NHTSA documents. GM said it has received no reports of injuries as a result of the malfunction, which can be fixed by reprogramming an airbag sensor.
