The recall involves “Rescue & Renew Detox Body Wash,” a bath cleanser that is infused with aromatic essential oils and skin-conditioning agents that help improve skin tone with every wash.

The body wash is marked with Product Code #80000548, Lot #7234A07 and SKU 6814. It was sold in August 2017.

The problem is that the product has been found to contain an unacceptably high level of a Gram-positive bacterium, Staphylococcus cohnii, also known as “staph bacteria.”

This type of bacteria is an opportunistic pathogen that lives on the skin. It can cause infection in immunocompromised patients with weak immune systems, especially those with underlying skin problems.

Consumers should stop using Rescue & Renew Detox Body Wash and return it to the store where it was purchased for a full refund.

Arbonne products are sold in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, Poland, New Zealand, and Taiwan.

For more information on how to get a refund, consumers can contact Arbonne at CustomerService@arbonne.com or call 1-800-650-760.

Customers will receive a pre-paid shipping label to return the product bearing the recalled lot number. When returning the product, consumers are asked to clearly mark the shipping package on the outside as follows: ATTENTION: RECALLED PRODUCT.
