Arctic Cat Inc. is recalling all model-year 2014 through 2017 Wildcat Trail and 2015 through 2017 Wildcat Sport models of Arctic Cat ROVs.

There have been 444 reports of the plastic panels melting due to heat from the exhaust, with 5 resulting in fires. No injuries were reported.

This recall involves all model year 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 Wildcat Trail ROVs and 2015, 2016, and 2017 Wildcat Sport models of Arctic Cat ROVs.

The recalled vehicles were sold at Arctic Cat dealerships nationwide in the United States, Canada, and Mexico from December 2013 through August 2017 for between $10,500 and $19,500.

They have 4 wheels and side-by-side seating for 2 people. The words “Wildcat Trail” or “Wildcat Sport” are printed on both sides of the ROV.

According to the recall notice posted by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC):

Heat from the exhaust can melt the plastic panels behind the operator and passenger seat, posing a fire hazard.”

Consumers should stop using the recalled ROVs and contact Arctic Cat to schedule a free repair.
