Katie’s Snack Foods, LLC, of Hilliard, Ohio, manufactures a variety of jerky products and distributes the products through retail stores and its website, www.katiesbeefjerky.com.

According to the recall alert from the Ohio Department of Agriculture:

Consumers should be aware that the products were produced outside [Ohio Department of Agriculture] protocols for such products and supporting documentation for safe production could not be established.”

The products are labeled with “Katie’s Snack Foods LLC” and “Katie’s Premium Jerky & Snacks.” They are packed in 1.7-ounce packages.

The following jerky products were included in the health alert:

  • Alligator Jerky Original
  • Alligator Jerky Cajun Spicy
  • Bison Jerky Original
  • Bison Jerky Half Heat
  • Bison Jerky Garlic Spicy
  • Elk Jerky
  • Elk Jerky Spicy
  • Venison Jerky Original
  • Venison Jerky Teriyaki
  • Venison Jerky Spicy

No illnesses have been linked to the products in the health alert, but anyone who experience symptoms of food poisoning should seek medical attention immediately.
