No injuries have been reported, but brake failure poses crash and injury hazards to riders and bystanders, according to a warning from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission on January 31, 2018.

Consumers who own a John Deere Compact Utility Tractor should immediately stop using it and contact John Deere for a free repair. John Deere is contacting purchasers of the recalled tractors directly.

They were sold at John Deere dealerships nationwide between July 2017 and October 2017 for about $16,200.

For more information, contact Deere & Company at 800-537-8233 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. or online at www.Deere.com and select “Product Recall Information” on the drop-down menu under Services & Support.
