The lawsuit was filed by Stacy F., a woman from Pennsylvania who was implanted with the Meridian® Inferior Vena Cava Filter (“IVC Filter”) manufactured by C.R. Bard and Bard Peripheral Vascular, Inc.
The IVC Filter was implanted on October 8, 2012 at a hospital in Pennsylvania. Her injuries occurred while she was living in the state.
C.R. Bard is accused of negligence, failing to warn about side effects, manufacturing and selling a defective medical device, and more.
The lawsuit was filed on April 30, 2018 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona — Case No. 2:18-cv-01325-DGC .
It will be centralized with over 3,700 other IVC filter lawsuits now pending against C.R. Bard in Multi-District Litigation (MDL No. 2641) — In Re: Bard IVC Filters Products Liability Litigation.
