Werner Co, of Greenville, Pennsylvania, is recalling about 78,000 Multi-Purpose Telescoping Aluminum Ladders due to a fall hazard.

The recall was issued because the ladders can break while in use, posing a fall hazard to the user.

There has been 1 report of a ladder breaking while in use. The person suffered an injury to their left side and their elbow.

This recall involves 5 models of aluminum telescoping ladders that can be used in five different positions with a load capacity of 375 lbs.

The ladders were sold at Home Depot and Lowe’s stores nationwide from April 2018 through May 2018 for between $180 and $275.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled ladders and return the ladder to the store of purchase to receive a full refund.
