Libbey Glass Inc., of Toledo, Ohio is recalling approximately 229,000 8-oz bourbon taster glasses because they can break during normal use, posing a laceration hazard.

The glasses measure about 3-7/8″ tall, with any of the following 3 logos laser-etched on the bottom of the glass: “Kentucky Bourbon Trail,” “Kentucky Bourbon Trail Craft Tours” or “SIV.”

Libbey has received 2 reports of incidents involving 12 glasses breaking. No injuries were reported.

The recalled bourbon glasses were sold at Libbey outlet stores in Shreveport, Louisiana and Toledo, Ohio.

They were also sold at Total Wine stores nationwide, various distillery gift shops, commercial customers for use in restaurants, and online from May 2017 through October 2017 for between $20-$25 for the 4-piece set, or $6 each.

Consumers should stop using the recalled glasses and return them to the store where they were purchased for a full refund. Commercial customers should contact Libbey for a credit, refund or replacement.
