The lawsuit was filed by a 21 year-old woman identified only as “R.H.”

R.H. alleges that she would be taken from her home with a bag over her head, driven to an unknown location, disrobed, and sexually abused by Warren Jeffs, his brothers Lyle Jeffs and Seth Jeffs, and former FLDS leader Wendell Neilsen.

She says others watched the abuse, and it continued from the age of 8 until she was 14 years old.

The lawsuit is seeking compensation from the FLDS Church and United Effort Plan Trust, which is the the court-controlled real-estate holdings arm of the FLDS Church.

R.H. filed the lawsuit to hold certain people accountable for the “systemic sexual abuse of young children.” According to the lawsuit:

Sex with girls, ages 8 to 14 years old, was initiated by Warren Jeffs, along with leadership of UEP Trust and the FLDS Church, including the Twelve Apostles of the Church engaging in and witnessing the sexual relations between Warren S. Jeffs, Lyle Jeffs, Seth Jeffs and Wendell LeRoy Nielsen and other John Does viewing, watching, taping, participating in and documenting these sexual encounters with underage girls.”

The attorneys representing R.H. previously filed a lawsuit against Warren Jeffs and the FLDS Church on behalf of Elissa Wall, a woman who was forced to marry her 1st cousin at the age of 14 in a ceremony presided over by Warren Jeffs. She recently obtained a $2 million judgement against Jeffs, the FLDS Church, and the UEP Trust.

Lyle Jeffs is currently imprisoned after fleeing the law on charges of food stamp fraud. He was apprehended near a new FLDS settlement in South Dakota where an unknown number of women and girls live.

Wendell Nielsen was convicted of bigamy in Texas, and released in 2013 after serving a brief jail sentence.
