The lawsuit was filed by Michael J., a man who was living in New York who when he was implanted with the G2® Vena Cava Filter (“IVC Filter”) manufactured by C.R. Bard and Bard Peripheral Vascular, Inc.
The IVC Filter was implanted on June 2, 2006 at a hospital in Massachusetts. His injuries occurred while he was a resident of Massachusetts.
C.R. Bard is accused of negligence for selling a defective medical device and failing to warn about safety risks.
The lawsuit was filed on September 18, 2018 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona — Case No. 2:18-cv-02936-DGC.
It will be centralized with 4,380 other IVC filter lawsuits now pending against C.R. Bard in a federal Multi-District Litigation in Arizona (MDL No. 2641) — In Re: Bard IVC Filters Products Liability Litigation.
