The fitness trackers were given away as part of a marketing event Provata held from August 2017 thru July 2018, CPSC said. Provata has agreed to replace the devices free of charge.

Users received the trackers at employee wellness events in Oregon, Arizona and North Carolina. They were also delivered across the U.S,. by mail, CPSC said.

Affected products were made in China and distributed by Portland-based Provata in 3 colors — black, blue or mint green.

CPSC is warning consumers to stop using Provata fitness trackers immediately, and to contact Provata for instructions on how to get a free replacement.
