The recall affects all lots of “DG Baby Gripe Water herbal supplement with organic ginger and fennel extracts,” which is manufactured by Kingston Pharmaceuticals and sold nationwide at Dollar General stores.

Although the manufacturer says DG Baby Gripe Water shouldn’t be considered hazardous, the undissolved ingredient, citrus flavonoid, could be difficult for “sensitive individuals” to swallow.

Kingston Pharmaceuticals said it has received 1 report of a one-week-old infant that had difficulty swallowing the product. At least 3 additional complaints the company received were attributed to the undissolved ingredient.

If you purchased any DG Baby Gripe Water, you should not use it, and either discard it immediately or return it to the point of purchase for a refund.
