The lawsuit was filed by Katherine V., a woman from New Jersey who was implanted with the Denali® Vena Cava Filter (“IVC Filter”) manufactured by C.R. Bard and Bard Peripheral Vascular.
The IVC Filter was implanted on November 9, 2015 at a hospital in New Jersey. Her injuries occurred while she was a resident of New Jersey.
The defendants are accused of negligence for selling a dangerous medical device and failing to warn about potential safety risks.
The lawsuit was filed on March 9, 2019 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona — Case No. 2:19-cv-01611-DGC.
Her case will be centralized with over 6,750 other IVC filter lawsuits now pending against C.R. Bard in Multi-District Litigation (MDL No. 2641) — IN RE: Bard IVC Filters Products Liability Litigation.
