NHTSA said Toyota dealers will inspect the fuel filler pipe and replace it if need be free of charge. Toyota will begin notifying owners of the recalled vehicles starting at the end of March, NHTSA said.

Owners may call the automaker at (888) 270-9371, the NHTSA vehicle-safety hotline at (888) 327-4236, or visit the agency’s website and check their VIN number to see if their vehicle is subject to the recall.

To date, no injuries, accidents or vehicle fires have been associated with the recalled Toyota Avalon and Camry sedans, NHTSA said.
