The recall affects “Shake & Sing Elephant Rattles” manufactured by VTech, according to a recall notice issued Thursday by the U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC). VTech issued the recall after receiving at least 5 reports that the ears on the toys broke off during use.

Affected products were sold from Nov. 2015 thru Nov. 2017 online and at major retailers including Walmart, Kmart and Meijer, CPSC said.

Consumers who purchased rattles affected by the recall should take them away from baby immediately, and return them to the place of purchase for a refund.

Also on Thursday, VTech recalled more than 40,000 “Lights & Lullabies travel mobiles” sold in the U.S. and Canada over concerns that components could break and fall into the crib, injuring a baby.

VTech received 6 additional complaints about the clamp which connects the mobile to the crib, according to a CPSC recall notice.

The mobiles were sold by the same retailers as the baby rattles during most of 2017.
