The lawsuit was filed by Nouhoun K., a man who was living in Virginia when he was implanted with the Eclipse® Vena Cava Filter (“IVC Filter”) manufactured by C.R. Bard and Bard Peripheral Vascular.

The IVC Filter was implanted on July 15, 2011 at a hospital in Virginia. His injuries occurred after he moved to Virginia, the state where he currently resides.

C.R. Bard is accused of negligence for selling a defective medical device and failing to warn about safety risks.

The lawsuit was filed on October 31, 2018 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona — Case No. 2:18-cv-03603-DGC.

It will be centralized with over 4,500 other IVC filter lawsuits now pending against C.R. Bard in Multi-District Litigation (MDL No. 2641) — In Re: Bard IVC Filters Products Liability Litigation.
