The lawsuit was filed by Charles H., a man from Florida who was implanted with the Eclipse® Inferior Vena Cava Filter (“IVC Filter”) manufactured by C.R. Bard and Bard Peripheral Vascular.

The IVC Filter was implanted on October 17, 2013 at a hospital in Florida. His injuries occurred while he was a resident of Florida.

C.R. Bard is accused of negligence for selling a defective medical device and failing to warn about safety risks.

The lawsuit was filed on March 19, 2019 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona — Case No. 2:19-cv-01620-DGC.

It will be centralized with over 6,750 other IVC filter lawsuits now pending against C.R. Bard in Multi-District Litigation (MDL No. 2641) — In Re: Bard IVC Filters Products Liability Litigation.
